The Social Design Unit initiates collaborative research with ENS (Paris) on a joint topic concerning Sustainable Energy Futures
Based on a 4-week research stay in France, the Social Design Unit has established closer collaboration with the Center for Design Research, École Normale Supérieure Paris-Saclay (abbreviated as ENS).
The research stay in France has been funded by Carlsberg Foundation, It vest and the Danish State’s residence in Paris (DA: Statens Legat Bolig). The aim of this project has been to strengthen the unit’s research competences within the transdisciplinary field of Anticipation Studies in close collaboration with Professor James Auger and his research group at the international lead institution ENS. The common research topic we have been working on is “Sustainable Energy Futures” and how to integrate this theme into Design Fiction and Speculative approaches in Design Research.
