PDC Place 2026, is a half-day seminar and workshop hosted by the Service Design Lab at Aalborg University, Copenhagen, as part of the Participatory Design Conference (PDC) 2026.

The theme of the event is Broadening Participation. The seminar is based on the idea that participation often includes the same familiar voices, leaving many people and non-human actors with different experiences or needs, out. The seminar explores how participation can become more open, fair, and rooted in real local situations—especially in areas like Sydhavn, where social differences are strong.

The day will bring together people from universities, public services, and community organisations to share practical experiences, learn from one another, and build stronger relationships across fields and perspectives.
