CoDesign for Transitions Network meeting in London
On Nov. 24-29 the Social Design Unit was fully engaged in a 1-week program in London as part of the Marie-Curie doctoral network CoDesign4Transitions, led by Lucy Kimbell, the University of the Arts London and Marzia Mortati, Politecnico di Milano.
Being recently initiated, researchers and associated partners in the network met for the first time to work together with 13 ph.d. students on sustainable and just transitions. The question of how practice-based design and research have potential to create pathways towards sustainable future transitions were addressed in a number of panel discussions, a 2-day workshop on Transition Design given by Terry Irwing and Gideon Kossoff from Carnegie Mellon University (US) and case presentations by the ph.d. students.
